天津市胸科医院肺功能科始建于1959年，由我国著名呼吸生理专家赵连云教授创建，是我国华北地区率先开展肺功能检查的科室，在国内享有盛誉。多年来肺功能科有多项科研课题成果问世，填补多项国内空白，无论是在设备更新，还是基础理论的研究以及临床实践等方面，始终处于全国本专业中的领先地位。因学科建设的需要，2014年肺功能科并入呼吸与危重症医学科，2020年评为PCCM肺功能单休基地。

　　科室拥有各种先进的肺功能检测设备，主要仪器有JAEGER PFT肺功能仪，体积描记仪、 IOS肺功能仪，呼出气一氧化氮分析仪、Radiometer ABL800型血气分析仪等。检测项目包括通气功能，弥散功能，气道阻力，残气功能，支气管激发实验，支气管舒张实验，血气及电解质分析，呼出气NO检测等。

　　通过肺功能检测可以对呼吸系统常见病、多发病及疑难病进行诊断、鉴别诊断，特别对COPD、哮喘、气道高反应、肺间质性疾病等进行诊断和鉴别诊断；对心胸外科手术的患者进行术前肺功能评估，保证手术安全。

　　科室技术力量雄厚，经验丰富，所有医技人员均为中级和高级技术职称，作为PCCM单休基地，每年可培养多名掌握专业呼吸生理临床医师，为目前国内本专业医技力量最强实验室之一。

The pulmonary Function Department

　　The pulmonary Function Department founded in 1959 by the famous physiologist, Professor Zhao Lianyun, the well-known Pulmonary Function Department of Tianjin Chest Hospital is the first one in northern China to test pulmonary functions. In recent years multiple research activities lead to discoveries filling in the knowledge gaps in this field in China. We are in the domestic leading role in fundamental research, clinical practice and instrument updated. Due to the needs of discipline construction, the Department of pulmonary function was incorporated into the Department of respiratory and critical medical department in 2014, which was awarded as PCCM of pulmonary function in 2020.

　　The Pulmonary Function Department is equipped with various advanced instruments, such as Masterscreen PFT, Masterscreen Body plethysmography, Impulse Oscillometry, NIOX exhaled NO analyzer, Radiometer ABL800 blood gas analyzer etc.. These instruments fulfill various measurements, such as diffusion capacity, airway resistance, residual volume,bronchial provocation and dilatation experiment, blood gas and electrolytic analysis, fraction of exhaled NO.

　　Tianjin Chest Hospital is specialized in diagnosis and treatment of heart and lung diseases. Pulmonary function tests can diagnosis and differential diagnosis the disease of respiratory system, especially for the common diseases, frequently-occurring diseases, such as COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease etc. Pulmonary function test can ensure the safety of patients who are undertaken cardiology-thoracic surgery.

The Department has strong technical force and experienced physicians who are qualified with intermediate or senior technical titles. As a PCCM single rest base, it can train many professional respiratory physiology clinicians every year. Now, it is one of the best laboratories in this field in China.
